File Bridge SuiteApp

REST file operations replacing sunsetted SOAP SuiteTalk

A SuiteApp that exposes REST endpoints for files, attachments, and folders — replacing the SOAP SuiteTalk APIs sunsetting in 2028.

Duration: In active development

Overview

NetSuite is deprecating SOAP SuiteTalk in 2028. REST SuiteTalk has no file operations. Every integration that touches the File Cabinet quietly breaks. File Bridge is the fix: a packaged SuiteApp exposing v1 endpoints for files (upload/download/list/metadata/delete/move/rename), attachments (attach/detach/list), and folders — with audit logging and a minimal-permission integration role. OAuth 2.0 only; no TBA.

Pain Points We Solve

Integrations that depend on SOAP SuiteTalk file APIs

REST APIs that cannot push or pull files

Auditability gaps for programmatic File Cabinet access

Permission sprawl when integrations need broad access just for file I/O

The Solution

A SuiteApp delivered as a private bundle in Phase 1 and as a SuiteApp Marketplace listing in Phase 2. Designed for integrators, ISVs, and internal teams who need safe, durable programmatic file operations.

Technical Highlights

Full REST surface for files, attachments, folders

Audit log + minimal-permission integration role

OAuth 2.0 only (no TBA)
